Statement regarding LockBit claims
Earlier this morning we became aware of tweets from LockBit, the cyber-criminal gang, claiming that they had compromised Darktrace’s internal security systems and had accessed our data. Our security teams have run a full review of our internal systems and can see no evidence of compromise. None of the LockBit social media posts link to any compromised Darktrace data. We will continue to monitor the situation extremely closely, but based on our current investigations we are confident that our systems remain secure and all customer data is fully protected.

Darktrace is Number 3 in Sunday Times Hiscox Tech Track 100
Darktrace, the world leader in AI technology for cyber defense, has today announced that it was named number 3 in the Sunday Times Hiscox Tech Track 100. This annual league table ranks the UK’s top 100 private equity companies with the fastest-growing sales over the last three years.
Darktrace has grown rapidly since being founded in 2013, with total contract value increasing 140%, and booking increasing threefold in the US, over the last year. With over 500 employees across 24 global locations, Darktrace’s total contract value hit $200 million in July, and the company was valued at $825 million.
Steve Langan, CEO of Hiscox Insurance Company, the title sponsors of the Tech Track 100, congratulated all the companies on the list: “Their courage is laudable; rapid growth and continual innovation takes grit. We are extremely proud to be associated with such an impressive list.”
Darktrace’s AI has disrupted the cyber security industry, with over 3,000 deployments of its Enterprise Immune System technology to date. The traditional approach to cyber defense relies on pre-defining the threat in an attempt to stop attacks from getting into the network at the perimeter. Darktrace turns this on its head: the technology learns what is normal for every user and device, as well as the network as a whole, and uses this evolving ‘pattern of life’ to detect and take autonomous action against emerging threats, in real time.
Since its inception four years ago, Darktrace has gone from strength to strength. Being number 3 on the Sunday Times Hiscox Tech Track 100 is a fantastic tribute to the growth the company has experienced, which is down to the fundamental power of our AI technology, and the excellence of all our employees here,” said Nicole Eagan, CEO, Darktrace. “The Enterprise Immune System has completely transformed our customers’ approach to cyber defense. As cyber-threats become ever more sophisticated and fast-moving, regularly bypassing legacy security tools, more and more organizations are turning to artificial intelligence as the only way to defend against tomorrow’s attacks.”
