Statement regarding LockBit claims

Earlier this morning we became aware of tweets from LockBit, the cyber-criminal gang, claiming that they had compromised Darktrace’s internal security systems and had accessed our data. Our security teams have run a full review of our internal systems and can see no evidence of compromise. None of the LockBit social media posts link to any compromised Darktrace data. We will continue to monitor the situation extremely closely, but based on our current investigations we are confident that our systems remain secure and all customer data is fully protected.

Darktrace, the world’s leading AI company for cyber defense, has today announced that Darktrace Industrial has won the award for ‘Most Innovative ICS/SCADA Security’ from CDM InfoSec Awards. Darktrace was also named the ‘Leader in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning’.

These prestigious awards recognize the hottest, most innovative infosec companies offering incredible products and services. Darktrace Industrial was named the winner of this award thanks to its pioneering innovation; its immune system technology is the first artificial intelligence cyber defense solution to be deployed across ICS and SCADA networks, defending industrial networks of all types and sizes from increasingly advanced cyber-threats.

The AI works by understanding the normal behavior of every connected sensor, PC or industrial plant, and then detecting any anomalous behaviors. With no need to define ‘bad’ in advance, this approach is capable of catching targeted attacks, insider threats, and novel malwares on industrial networks, which would otherwise go unnoticed for days or months on end.

We are delighted that Darktrace Industrial has been recognized by CDM InfoSec Awards as the winner of the ‘Most Innovative ICS/SCADA Security’ award,” said Andrew Tsonchev, Director of Technology, Darktrace Industrial. “Cyber-attacks against critical infrastucture are a critical problem of national and economic security, as recent warnings from the US government and the EU have highlighted. Darktrace Industrial is leading the way in defending critical infrastructure, helping build an organization’s resilience against some of the most persistent and pernicious threats.”
